◻︎ Details ◻︎
After completing the “Jewelry Wax Carving” workshop, the next step is “Jewelry Cast Cleaning to Finishing” (where “cast” refers to the raw metal form created through the casting process). This is a crucial stage where a simple piece of metal gradually begins to transform into a true piece of jewelry. As the work approaches completion, patience, focus, and above all, careful attention to detail become essential. There is no room for rushing. During this process, you will witness firsthand how a piece that looked far from a jewel piece during the wax carving stage slowly takes on the form of a real piece of jewelry. Experience the excitement and anticipation of watching your creation come to life. A workshop where you work while imagining the final piece offers a completely different feeling from simply purchasing and wearing jewelry. It may even change the way you see jewelry itself.
◻︎ About the Workshop ◻︎
This workshop is designed as the next step for participants who have completed the “Jewelry Wax Carving” workshop. For those who have not yet taken it, we strongly recommend completing it beforehand. To help participants continue creating jewelry comfortably at home, this class focuses on methods that minimize the need for large equipment and specialized tools. The program is designed to make jewelry making accessible, safe, and cost-effective at an individual level, with practical techniques that can be continued beyond the workshop.
Note:
All tools and materials are provided. Please bring the cast piece made during the Jewelry Wax Carving workshop.
◻︎ Instructor ◻︎
Your instructor, Naoyo Terada, graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York before launching her own jewelry brand and building a career as a handmade jewelry designer. During nearly two decades living in New York, she participated in numerous exhibitions and trade shows and operated her own select boutique, gaining extensive hands-on experience in the jewelry industry. Today, based in Naoyo while traveling regularly between New York and India, she continues to develop creative projects that go beyond jewelry alone.
"If it's not fun, it's not jewelry making!"
Come experience the joy of jewelry making.
